Our Church Beliefs

GOD

We believe God is the creator of all things, in heaven and on earth, that He's a personal God and that He desires us to know Him.

THE CHURCH

We believe the church is the body of Christ, established by the apostles, is not a building but rather all people who believe in Jesus and confess to his lordship, and is exists to make Jesus known to the world.

JESUS

We believe that Jesus is God's son and yet was not created, that He came to earth as both fully God and fully man in order to show and provide a way for us to know and have a relationship with God.

SIN & SALVATION

We believe in a fallen human nature that results in sin, and that none of our human efforts will ever be enough to make us holy to have a right relationship with God. Therefore, we believe in the need for salvation and the reconciliation Jesus offers through His sacrifice.

THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe the Holy Spirit is fully God and His own identity fully, that He empowers us with the spirit of Jesus and give us the power to transform our hearts and minds.

BAPTISM & COMMUNION

We believe in the sacraments of baptism - the immersion of water that professes one's salvation, but does not bring salvation - and the sacraments of the Lord's Supper, which signifies the new covenant found in the body and blood of Jesus Christ.

THE BIBLE

We believe the Bible is the authoritative Word of God, and that while cultures changes around us, the truth of God's Word never change, and that while though we apply to in the context of each society may differ, every part of it is infallible ad inspired by God to men to write for our benefit of knowing the heart of God and His purpose for our lives.

HEAVEN & ETERNITY

We believe that after this life all of us will spend eternity somewhere - either separated from God by our own choice, or in heaven with him - and that for believers, this life is the "dress-rehearsal" for what's to come when we spend eternity with God.
